Alison Mosshart is an American artist and singer who has a net worth of $ 3 million.
Alison was born on November 23, 1978, in Florida USA. She studied fine arts and she and three friends formed a punk band called “Discount” that lasted only five years (1995-2000), but in 2000 Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince (her current bandmate) met in a hotel London, Alison heard Jamie playing the guitar in the room below, decided to go down to talk to him, and after talking all night about how much they liked The Velvet Underground decided to form a group, as they were not very comfortable in The groups to which they belonged.
Both formed the band The Kills. The style of The Kills is post-punk revival and indie rock. Mosshart was previously in a Florida punk rock band: Discount, and Hince in the British rock band Scarfo and Blyth Power: an anarcho-punk band. They met when Mosshart heard Hince practice with the guitar in the room below him at the hotel and the moment their respective bands split they began with this musical relationship.
For months, both were in charge to send their recordings across the Atlantic; After this test, which allows testing the patience of both artists and it takes weeks to receive the records, Mosshart takes off from his native Florida to London.
Looking to change their previous style, Mosshart, and Hince, they make their new project the year zero of their careers, renamed respectively VV and Hotel, and they begin to write together with the help of a minimalist songs drum machine.
In 2001 they released a demo that is very well received. Registered under the name “VV AND HOTEL”. Shortly after, they released their ‘Black Rooster EP’ under the independent British record Dominó Records, distributed in the United States by Dim Mak Records.
The record would not have been able to show more clearly its departure from its two previous groups. It shows photos of Mosshart and Hince taken in a photomontage rather than in a professional studio. Musically, the album is a mix between Garage Rock and Blues. Although the group quotes PJ Harvey, The Velvet Underground, and Royal Trux as immediate influences, the music press compares them to the mixed garage rock duo “The White Stripes”.
In 2005 the band released their second album “NO WOW”. In 2006, the single “The Good Ones” of the disc “NO WOW” is transmitted in all the alternative rock stations of Europe, included in Spain.
After three years of tours and concerts all over the world, the band publishes its third album “Midnight Boom” which receives very good reviews of Uncut magazine. The Kills are now more famous and begin to appear in more magazines, even in the Spanish Rolling Stone of August 2009.
Currently a part of The Dead Weather is a supergroup that is triumphing in the US and around the world, as vocalist and main songwriter, along with Jack White (The White Stripes and The Raconteurs), Jack Lawrence (also known as LJ of The Raconteurs) And Dean Fertita (Queens of Stone Age). The band has just released their first album HOREHOUND, are touring the world and when the tour ends Alison will return to London, where Jamie is waiting to start recording the fourth album of The Kills
