The singer Cher dazzled everyone with his relaxed style and super rocker at the premiere of the movie The Promise. In addition, he made very clear all the reasons why you should see this tape.
According to Wikipedia, the film is set in the last days of the Ottoman Empire and shows the Armenian genocide. So the film must be very important for Cher, whose father was Armenian-American.
As the British media Mirror said, the 70-year-old songwriter found herself on the spot with Kim Kardashian and her sister Kourtney (whose father was also Armenian), with whom she very willingly posed on the red carpet.
While Cher decided to end her set with a cap that definitely represented her personality, Kim wore a girdled gold dress and her sister Kourtney opted for a very sober black suit.
Regarding the film, Cher expressed himself on Twitter and commented that he had broken his heart:
“Hitler said if they don’t remember the Armenians, they won’t remember the Jews. We cannot let this happen to another group of people, I vow to keep the promise,” Cher said on Twitter.
Kim, on the other hand, recommended the tape and urged the public to go and see her:
“So proud of the movie #ThePromise Everyone please go see it and finally hear the story of the Armenian people”
Oscar Isaac and Christian Bale meet in this ambitious co-production between Spain and the United States whose trailer has just hit the Internet. With two stars of this caliber, we could be talking about a sure hit but the story is too crude for the general public and behind the cameras, there is someone like Steven Spielberg (or Michael Bay).
The director is Terry George, who has already narrated a terrible drama in his best-known film, ‘Hotel Rwanda’ (2004). As we already told, the story centers on the last days of the Ottoman Empire and the genocide of the Armenian population carried out by Turkey during World War I. The crimes alternate with a romantic plot that confronts an Armenian medical student (Isaac) with an American reporter (Bale).
