Celebrity News: The scandals for defrauding tributary follow the order of the day in the football of Europe, after the condemnation to Lionel Messi, the accusation to Cristiano Ronaldo, now adds a denunciation against the Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho.
The Provincial Prosecutor of Madrid accuses the former coach of Real Madrid of two crimes against the Public Treasury related to the Income Tax of Individuals (IRPF).
These crimes would have been committed during 2011 and 2012. The amount defrauded amounts to 3,304,670 euros: 1,611,537 euros for 2011 and 1,693,133 euros for 2012.
According to the prosecution’s brief, Mou used a corporate structure “in order to make the profits derived from his image rights physically opaque”. When he signed for Real Madrid (31 March 2010), Portuguese acquired the status of resident tax in Spain.
Likewise, the prosecution’s complaint states that in order to obtain an unlawful benefit, Mourinho submitted in time its declarations for the years 2011 and 2012 without declaring his income from the assignment of his image rights.
On July 3, 2015, Mourinho signed an act of conformity in which he already recognized the lack of declaration of part of the image rights and agreed to the payment of a sanction of 1,146,307.83 euros.
Mourinho currently leads Manchester United in the English Premier League.
A week ago, the prosecution in Madrid accused Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid striker, of tax evasion in the amount of 14.7 million euros (16.5 million dollars). Ronaldo has rejected the accusation.
