DeWayne Michael Tait (May 18, 1966) is a contemporary Christian music artist, he is the current vocalist for Newsboys and who has a net worth of $ 5 million.
Tait has also had in his solo career the founding of a band called Tait in 1997. He toured as a soloist until 2007. He became the lead singer of the Christian band Newsboys pop rock in 2009, and although Peter Furler remains the Lead singer in the band’s most recent album in God’s hands, Tait always voices support in the project. In addition to singing, Tait is also a self-taught guitarist. One of Tait’s five sisters is Lynda Randle, who is a gospel singer with the series Homecoming Gaither.
Newsboys is an Australian alternative rock band. His current vocalist is former DC Talk, Michael Tait. Newsboys are characterized by having had the style of alternative rock since the eighties, although varying according to the time. Their music is related to the musical style of praise of other bands of the average Christian.
In early 2009, after a year of touring, Coleman left the band to return to his solo career and returned to Jody Davis. More surprisingly perhaps, Peter Furler announced shortly afterward that he was going to reduce his participation in the band, would no longer tour with them but would remain behind the scenes as a composer and vocalist. His replacement was from one of the other Christian rock titans, Michael Tait of DC Talk. Before Tait took over completely, the band released a final album with Furler as a singer, In The Hands Of God, in May 2009. In September of that year, Furler had left and Tait took over the voices for The band’s new album released in 2010, Born Again.
“God’s Not Dead” and its main theme with the same title is already ranked 3rd in the Christian Music category on Billboard.
Alongside this album, the band has also recorded a video based on this song. In this video, you see the members of Newsboys in their day to day that despite seeing how Jesus is denied in the end and come together to announce to the living Savior.
With “God’s not Dead” the band proclaims that God. “More than a spiritual being is an idea or a spiritual being,” said Michael Tait, a vocal leader of the band who adds that “people need to hear sometimes that he is real, that he is alive.” Jesus has risen from the dead.
