Celebrity News: The actor seems interested in interpreting the younger version of the strange chocolatier. Shall we see how he met the Oompa Loompa?
Warner Bros is preparing a new adaptation of ‘Charlie and the chocolate factory’ focused on a young Willy Wonka and, according to That Hashtag Show, a source says that Ryan Gosling is interested in the project.
We met the character in 1964 when Roald Dahl published the story ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ where, in addition to Charlie, introduced the strange owner of the title factory. Seven years later, “A World of Fantasy” (Mel Stuart, 1971) was released, where Gene Wilder played Wonka in a first version full of interesting caracter.
It took thirty-four years for someone to resume the story. In ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ (Tim Burton, 2005) it was Johnny Depp who put on his hat to delight us with a chocolatier who, irretrievably, smelled of rum and saltpeter.
Both films had very different approaches when portraying the character, but considering the performance of Ryan Gosling in La La Land (2016) or Two Dangerous Kind (2016), we have no doubt that he could do a great job as the eccentric Willy Wonka.
The new film will be produced by David Heyman, one of the makers of the Harry Potter saga, and will introduce us to Willy Wonka before bumping into the Oompa Loompa and building the factory where Charlie will see how his comrades are about to Lose life in sweet manners
TheHashtagShow has announced that Warner Bros, in this pre-production face, is looking for an actor between 29 and 35 years old to play Willy Wonka as a young man. According to his sources, although he is 36, Ryan Gosling is one of the first options, as the actor expressed interest in getting the role of the owner of the chocolate factory.
