Celebrity News: The 31-year-old actor was arrested because of drunkenness, disturbance of public order and obstruction of justice.
Actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested for drunk driving Saturday in Georgia, but was released after paying a $ 7,000 bail, authorities said.
Chatham County police said the 31-year-old actor was arrested at four in the morning by Savannah police. In addition to the drunkenness charge, he was also arrested for disruption of public order and obstruction of justice.
Police said LaBeouf ordered a cigarette from a person who was going through and that when he refused, the actor became upset and used “inappropriate language and profanity in front of women and children who were present.”
When asked to withdraw, the actor refused and became aggressive toward an agent, police said. Then he ran to a nearby hotel to avoid arrest.
It is not the first clash he has with the law: In 2008, he received a wake-up call for drunken driving in West Hollywood. In 2014 he appeared before a court, accused of penetrating into the property and disorderly conduct after disturbing a performance of the Broadway musical “Cabaret.” In January 2017, the actor was arrested for assault after starring in a moment of tension when a supporter of “white supremacy” attempted to boycott his protest against Donald Trump.
The actor is in the state of Georgia filming the film “The Peanut Butter Falcon” in the city of Savannah next to Dakota Johnson and Bruce Dern.
